We've chosen iCi Restaurant for our wedding and reception location. The restaurant is in a beautiful converted brownstone in Fort Green Brooklyn, just a few blocks from Fort Greene Park.
Coming from Manhattan and points east: The best way to get to iCi by car or taxi is to take the Brooklyn Bridge. When you enter Brooklyn, you will make an immediate left onto Tillary Street. After 0.5 miles Tillary Street turns into Park Avenue. Continue 0.5 miles on Park Avenue until you get to Vanderbilt Street. Turn right on Vanderbilt Street. After this turn, Vanderbilt meets DeKalb Avenue in 0.4 miles.
Coming from points north: The best way to get to iCi will most likely be the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway. (Also known as: BQE or I-278) Get off the BQE at exit 29, Tillary Street, toward Manhattan Bridge/Brooklyn Civic Center. Continue straight onto Tillary Street. In 0.2 miles, turn left at Flatbush Avenue. In 0.2 miles turn left at Myrtle Avenue. Turn right at Vanderbilt Avenue. In 0.3 miles turn right onto DeKalb Avenue.
If you want to take a taxi, we highly recommend calling Arecibo taxi service. Their rates are great and they know Brooklyn really well, so will not get lost along the way. If you are calling for a Manhattan pick-up, call 30 minutes before you will need the car. 718-783-6465
Less walking: From Manhattan, take the F train to the 9th Street and 4th Avenue stop, where you can transfer to a Queens bound G train. Take the G train 6 stops to the Clinton-Washington stop. Get out the exit at Lafayette and Waverly. Walk north on Waverly one block to DeKalb Avenue. Turn left on DeKalb Avenue and walk 2 blocks. The restaurant will be on your left, just past Vanderbilt Street.
Less transfers:The Atlantic/Pacific Street subway hub and the DeKalb Avenue subway station are both within 10 minutes walking distance from the restaurant. See hopstop for more details.
